God's Favor is Upon You!
Whether you know this or not God's favor is upon you. He has called us His special treasure (Deut. 7:6, 1 Pet. 2-9) and since we are His special treasure there are benefits (Ps. 103:2) to his Presence in our life.
12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous:
With favor You will surround his as with a shield.
According to the word of God you are clothed with his robe of righteousness (Is. 61:10).
Through the blood of Jesus you and I have been placed in right standing with God (2 Cor. 5:21).
That's what righteousness is, right standing with God. And if we are right with God then all of God's covenant blessings belong to us including favor! The word favor means "goodwill" and "acceptance". Not only with God but also with men. Notice this passage about Jesus.
52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
We must consider that, because we are in Jesus and have been freely given all things in Him.
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
We should expect God's favor in our life to cause us to excel in everything. That is the power of His blessing working in my life. I should expect to prosper! I should expect favor with my boss! I should expect promotions, raises, bonuses, benefits! He came to give me life and life more abundantly (Jn 10:10)! Hallelujah and Amen! Notice this,
27 Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
"Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."
God takes pleasure when you prosper and are blessed! It brings Him glory for you to manifest His favor and goodness in your life! It's like the coat of many colors that Jacob made for his favorite son Joseph. God, your Father, has clothed you and I with His grace and favor in life!
I pray that today you renew your mind in God's Word that your very thinking and attitude reflect a walk that is worthy of what Jesus Christ has purchased for you. Learn to expect God's blessing to chase you down and overtake you. Position yourself in faith and obedience to His Word. Be a giver. A cheerful one! It causes grace to be released in your life (2 Cor. 9:6-10) and walk confidently in God's favor upon your life!
