What Choice are you making Today?

Tuesday, August 26, 2014 • Pastor Kay McCraw
Everything that we do in life starts with a choice. What choices are you making? Make the RIGHT choices today!

I recently saw this on Facebook and it got me to thinking about how everything in life is a choice. God made us that way.

Moses told the children in (Deu 30:19)  "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

(Deu 30:20)  You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying Him, and committing yourself firmly to Him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

We look at others and wonder sometimes why do they make some of the wrong choices they do, but fail to realize we do the same thing everyday. Maybe just on a different level. Why would we ever want to choose depression over joy or torment over peace. The devil lies to us and tells us that there is no way you can have joy in the midst of the mess you are in. The devil is a liar!

God used the spoken word to create order out of chaos. Since we are made in His image and after His likeness, we are also creators. We can create the atmosphere to which we live in by our spoken words. I want the atmosphere of heaven. Jesus told us to pray, Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. As Pastor Tammie said in her recent blog, " The kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." We can choose what kind of day we are going to have by getting up and saying, "I set the course of my life today with my words. I choose life today. I choose peace today. I choose victory today. I choose joy today." And it looks like this, with a smile on your face, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

There are consequences to every choice we make. Not only do those choices effect us but those around us also. We must ask ourself what kind of heritage do we want to leave to our children and grandchildren.
