It's Christmas Time!

Christmas has been called the most wonderful time of the year! A time meant to focus on celebration and giving with family and friends. A time of outreach for those less fortunate and most of all to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift that manifested His love for all humanity. I just love the announcement the angels made that day to the shepherds guarding their flocks in the field, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14). I pray we can all see how much we have been given because heaven has favored us in such a way. Jesus came to give us peace because He made peace with God through His sacrifice. This announcement begins the greatest chapter in all humanity. God’s Lamb was now born who was to take away the sins of the world. What a story! As Believers we should rehearse this message over and again each year to our family and friends. If this became the focus of Christmas (which means gathering around Christ) how could it help us with the hustle and bustle, the stress and struggle many of us have this time of the year? I think much of the Scripture that says, “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You” (Isaiah 26:3). My simple exhortation for you is to keep Christ in your Christmas this year and every year. Make the season one of worship and adoration of the One Who came to die for you. The gift from above that keeps on giving. Jesus really is the reason for the Season.
Tammie and I and all our Family want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas this year! Each and every one of our CFC families are precious to us. It is truly a labor of love we have in ministering to you as your pastors. You are in our hearts and prayers constantly and it is our desire that you find God’s best in each and everything you do. I believe our future is bright. Our path is clear. Our possibilities are endless. We are a kingdom people in pursuit of His Presence and we shall not rest until all is swallowed up in Him. God has a plan for us that the enemy has tried repeatedly to thwart but God is faithful. And so are you. Each time we gather let us pursue Him until we capture Him. As we look ahead to 2020 dare to dream bigger and reach higher. Let’s believe for our greatest year yet. At the close of each year I make this confession, 2019 has been the greatest year of my life, spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, financially, relationally and ministerially! And I declare 2020 will be an even greater year of my life, spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, financially, relationally, and ministerially in Jesus name AMEN!
It has always proved to be true each and every year since I have been a Spirit filled Believer. And I have no reason to doubt it now. It did not always look like it throughout the year but yet it always has ending with greater blessing than it began. Praise God for His faithfulness! Dare to make this confession and declaration with me and lets embrace 2020 with faith and hope. Love you all!
